Puppies, Birthdays, and Babies

Surprisingly, our crazy, hectic lives seemed to have slowed down these last couple of weeks. It's been quite refreshing having some down time to relax and just play with Cooper. The weather has been nice so we've done some bike riding and a lot of playing outside.

We were looking to buy a boat last summer, but we just didn't find the perfect one. So, our boat search continues. We are so excited for summer and hope that we'll be able to spend a lot of our days out on the river. With my parent's having the jet skis, a boat would be so much fun.

My sister had been looking for a puppy for a long time and finally found the perfect one in Kennewick. We went and got him and held onto him for her for a few days and then met halfway between Spokane and here so she could take him home. They named him Mojo and he is a cute little guy, but having him around just reminded me how much work a puppy is. He definitely wasn't potty trained and any toys of Cooper's that were left on the ground became chewing material. I couldn't take my eyes off of Mojo for even a minute or he would find a new chew toy or pee somewhere. Rocky loved having him around though. He was so gentle when he played with Mojo. It was super cute.

On a really nice day, David took Mojo outside and taught him how to sit. It only took about 5 minutes! What a good dog.

Since David has been student teaching, he's had so much homework lately. He's up late every night creating lesson plans and correcting his student's assignments. Cooper loves to sit in his rocking chair next to his Daddy while he works. Especially if David is snacking on popcorn!

Cooper got this awesome jacket from a lady down in southern CA when he was a baby and I'm so excited that he's finally big enough to wear it. He calls it his airplane jacket and loves to point out all the airplanes on it. His favorite is the zipper. The pull-tab on it is an airplane and he thinks that's pretty darn cool. I'm going to try to find him a pair of aviator sunglasses.
Can you tell he didn't want his picture taken? haha

This weekend we are going to be doing a lot of driving. Tonight after work we are heading to Spokane to visit my sister and her family. We are so excited to see them! We'll be celebrating Elizabeth's 4th birthday. I can't believe she's 4! We are also pretty stoked to go see our friend's newborn baby girl, Maya. She's 7 weeks old we can't wait to go hold her.

Then on Sunday we'll be doing more driving, to Yakima this time for a baby shower. In December, my cousin had a baby girl, Bostyn. She's super cute in all the pictures we've seen and we are so excited to see her as well.

It's a weekend full of babies and birthdays! What could be much better?
