I turned 25 on Friday! I had a great dinner (and way too many drinks!) with friends and family and I was spoiled with presents. Thanks everyone! I had planned on going snowboarding on Saturday, but I just didn't make it after having so much fun on Friday night. Maybe next weekend?
Best Buddies! Cooper and Rocky love to hang out under the table. Cooper can get into the cupboard where the doggie treats are kept and he loves to sneak in there to give Rocky a little snack. Sometimes it's more like a meals-worth of snacks. They really are best buddies!
Big Boy Bed!
Cooper was just way too big for his toddler bed, so we gave him his very own double bed. Now he looks so tiny in it, but he loves it!
Cooper's name is spelled out in white wooden letters on his wall. This weekend he was supposed to be sleeping, but apparently he wasn't because he came running out of his room holding the "R" and saying, "Daddy, R broke ~ R broke, Daddy." I think he must have been standing on his bed playing with the letters and the "R" fell down. We were amazed that he knew that it was the letter "R" that he was holding. Such a smart boy! We spell his name out to him all the time, and it's nice to know he is learning the letters.
He did it again tonight, with the "R" and then again a couple minutes later with the "E". It's so hard to be mad at him for not sleeping when he surprises you by bringing out the "E" and saying "E broke" when he's supposed to be in bed. We just want to hug him and say "Good job Buddy! That IS an E!"
Starting this week, David is teaching all the morning literacy blocks on his own. It won't be long before he has a classroom all to himself.
I think he thinks it's a game to take the letters off his wall and tell us what they are because he also brought out the "O" and the "P" and told us exactly what they were. The only one left is the "C"
