March 2012

Here is what our March looked like in pictures:

The Monster Trucks were in town so David and my Dad (Bumpa) took Cooper to the show. He was so excited to go and had such a good time.

Bumpa helping Cooper get his ear plugs in so that the monster trucks wouldn't be so loud.

Carter has become quite the climber. He was so proud of himself for getting on the couch without help.

This is the greeting we would get whenever we would come home. Tucker had a hole and would stick his head out to watch everyone. He never tried to leave though.

Spring time meant that it was time for the farmers to work out in the field behind our house. Cooper loved watching the tractors from his bedroom upstairs.

Walking Cooper to preschool on a sunny morning.

Cooper has been to the dentist a few times now and it has always been a horrible visit. He usually screams and cries and I have to hold him in my lap while they quickly get some fluoride on his teeth and try to get a quick look while they are doing that. But he's gotten so big and become such a good helper. This visit was the first visit where he actually cooperated. The only bummer from this appointment was the we left with a return date to get some cavities filled.

We also knew he had a loose tooth before going to the appointment, so we asked them to do some x-rays because he is a little young to be losing teeth already. Turns out his top 3 front teeth were fractured up far under the gums somehow (wrestling or something) and that is what had caused that tooth to become loose. The dentist said it is completely normal that we wouldn't be able to pinpoint when it happened because boys are crazy and tough. He also said it would fall out soon, and that the other 2 would become loose and fall out as well. So Cooper will be without his top front teeth for a few years until his adult teeth grow in.

Our friend got some baby chicks so we went over to let Cooper see them. I thought he'd love to hold them and pet them, but he was actually a little scared of them.

I was shocked to wake up and see snow outside in March!

Carter became a climber! He climbed up onto everything, but he especially loved to climb up onto things and look out this window.

The things we do to make our kids happy... good thing my parents don't live very far away because I had to go get "Big Ducky" at 9:30 at night in the rain because Cooper forgot him there and didn't want to sleep without him.

Carter rolled that toy bin over to the wall, flipped it over, and then climbed up on top of it. Never a dull moment with him around!

That is 5 yards of rock to finish up the landscaping in our backyard. We had some curbing done and it looks so nice with the rock and all the plants in bloom. Moving that much rock to the back flower beds was a chore though! Especially doing it the day after running in the Badger Mountain Challenge, which was a 15K (9.3 miles) run up and down Badger Mountain that David and I did together.
