Cooper is 4!

It is so hard for me to believe that this picture was taken 4 years ago.

He is such a big, handsome boy now.

He is such a funny kid and has the best personality. There is never a dull moment with him around. He is also extremely stubborn and has a hard time sharing his toys with Carter, but at the same time he is the sweetest little boy I've ever known. He did great at basketball and has been doing awesome at preschool and soccer. He even scored 2 goals last week, except 1 of them was in the wrong goal. Oops! He loves sharks and can't wait to see sharks and orca whales when we go to California this summer. He still only has 1 volume (loud) and 1 speed (full sprint all day) and he very, very rarely takes a nap. If I turn on a movie, I can usually get him to have some quiet time while Carter is napping, but that's usually it. He is all boy and he is smart, so so smart! The things that he thinks of just amaze me. I am so grateful that I get to stay home with him everyday. He makes my world a better place.

On his actual birthday we took him to McDonalds and let him have a happy meal for dinner and then play in the toys. After he chased the girls around in the play area and cut his hand on a pole, we came home, opened a few presents, sang happy birthday, and had a cupcake.

Cooper had to get 4 shots in his thighs and he didn't cry! He softly said, "Ouch" on the last one, but that was it! He took them like a total champ. His nurse was super impressed and let him pick out 5 suckers AND 5 stickers for being so strong. He is growing right on track, weighing in at 37 lbs. and 43" (3'7").

After we left the Dr.'s office, I took him to MyFroYo and treated him to some frozen yogurt, because anyone that gets 4 shots deserves some ice cream with sprinkles!

That weekend Cooper had a birthday party at our house. He was spoiled with so many toys and had such a great time celebrating with friends and family.

Cooper still takes "Big Ducky" everywhere. He pretty much has no stuffing left at all, and Cooper refuses to let me add stuffing to him. Even after going through the wash, he never looks bright and soft like he did before and he's got to be half the size that he was when Cooper first got him. He is Cooper's token comfort item and will be something that we keep forever. The picture below shows what "Big Ducky" looked like 3 years ago, and then what he looks like now.
