This post is very overdue... Here is what we did in November:
Cooper took Carter for a ride in his truck. Carter laughed the entire time. They both loved it.
Look who started standing on his own!
Cooper made silly faces:
We had family pictures done:
The leaves fell!
Cooper wrote his name all by himself!

We went swimming at the gym
I had to go on a "Field Trip" to McNary Wildlife Refuge for my methods in Science class. It just happened to be on a day that we had a blizzard. We got a ton of snow, and instead of being at home playing outside with Cooper, I was stuck on this field trip freezing my fingers off. It was miserable! Thank goodness for my awesome classmates that were also stuck out there with me. They made it a lot more fun.
Cooper played basketball and even made his first basket in a game!
Of course he did this while I was on the field trip mentioned above so I missed it! Talk about a heart-breaker! He also took off running and jumped into the padded mats on the side of the court right in the middle of a game. David said everyone found it pretty amusing as the entire gym erupted with laughter.
Carter turned 9 months!
Time is flying and I can't figure out how to slow it down. I can't believe my baby is 9 months already! At 9 months, he had 4 teeth, started walking, said the words "Hi, Dada, Up, and Bye." When he turned 9 months, I also quit nursing him. I was proud of myself for how long I nursed him, but it was nice to give myself a little freedom. And putting him on formula made a huge change in his sleep habits (for the better!) He was 29" long and weighed 23 lbs at his 9 month checkup. His pediatrician wanted to see what the difference was between him and Cooper at 9 months, so he went and looked and came back to tell us that Cooper was 21 lbs. Carter is 2 lbs heavier, which may not seem like much, but 2 lbs on a baby is a lot! Carter is still a great eater, and still prefers bananas over anything else.

| {We all ran the Turkey Trot (5K) on Thanksgiving morning. Megan, my Mom, me, David, and Matt} |
Santa sent videos to the kids. Their smiles were priceless as they watched each of the videos.
Then we went to see Prancer, Dancer, and Santa at Beaver Bark:
We were spoiled and were able to cram in 3 Thanksgiving dinners this year. The first was an annual one we do with our friends the weekend before Thanksgiving. Then on Thanksgiving day we went over to David's Mom's house for an early dinner, and then went to my parent's house for a later dinner. We ate so much! Good thing we ran in the 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning to burn off a tiny bit of what we consumed. This was the first year since we have been married that we opted out of waking up early and going Black Friday shopping. It was nice not having to brave the cold and the crowds, although it wasn't even cold this year.
And now the holiday season is here! Yah! It's my favorite time of the year.
